Whether you are siblings, parent and child, or best friends, sometimes you just want someone to lean along side of you.  Semi-private lessons are a great option for you.  Bring a friend or family member and enjoy lessons together.

Safety First

Safety is very important here at the farm.  We ask that every one follows the farm rules and listens to what management has to say.

Riding lessons are instructed in a way to push the student in areas of less comfort while minimizing risks of falls or injuries.

We know our horses best and expect our clients to follow directions/instructions.

The stable rules are in place for the safety of our clients, our family, and our animals.

FAQs

  • What do I need to bring?  If you have a riding helmet, bring it. Otherwise, just bring yourself ready to ride.
  • What do I wear? Wear long pants and boots with a heel.  If you do not have boots with a heel, tennis shoes or other closed toe closed heel shoes work as well.  Wear weather appropriate shirt and/or jacket.
  • Dusty Chaps Farm, LLC. always recommends wearing a riding helmet.  We do not permit other helmets as they are  not designed to withstand a fall from a horse.
  • Payment: Dusty Chaps Farm, LLC accepts checks written to the farm or cash. Payment is due at the time of the lesson.

Frequency

Most riding lessons are on a fixed weekly schedule.  This benefits both the rider and the management by keeping a consistent schedule.  Many students, however, have varying schedules and need to be more flexible with their lessons. We try to work with everyone's schedule the best we can.  If more or fewer lessons are desired, please inform your instructor.

Weather Cancellations/Rescheduling
